Happy New Year all
29 December - Updates to the dates/speaker list for Kidderminster Centre (and the perpetual calendar) with details of the speakers for the meetings in early 2006. (Jan to April) and advance notice of a speaker for October.
9 December - Updates to news on this page, update to the meetings schedule and perpetual calendar with details of the speaker on 17 March 2006 at Newcastle and a news report on the Warley Exhibition stand. Confirmation that all our membership prices are held for 2006. Application form
26 November - an update to 21st Mar Tue Teesside - Yarm. Speaker and topic now available = "Barnsley - Centre of a Railway Universe" by Dr Peter Rodgers. Additional lists 27 and 35 added to Photographic collection page, also a new link to a pdf of list 16 and updated ordering information. Plus other minor revisions; 11 pages amended in total.
5 November - Updated Home Page and, sadly , the Obituaries page. Additional update of the Associated Locomotives page to the "house style" and for the news of 87 001's preservation.
30 October to 3 November. Journal and Journal archive pages now updated to "house style" and contents of latest Journal edition added. Most of the remaining gaps in the meeting dates page, perpetual calendar and "one off" meetings page now filled. Two photographs of Orion at the Liverpool & Manchester Railway 175 celebrations also added to the Orion page. Apology from webmaster - Some pages have also been corrected as regrettably an unnoticed spelling error in the base page template was copied several times into new pages before discovery.
18 October. Centre meetings, perpetual calendar and visits pages updated.
3 October Firstly, sorry for the very long delay since the last update due to pressures of my full time work (Webmaster). Normal service should now be resuming. This update - Centre meetings individual pages now on line and perpetual calendar updated for full 2005 and early 2006 dates. Also bug found in the coding for the web ring link on the Index (Home) page which was corrupting the page layout for the speed navigation bar - that too has been corrected.
1 Aug. The Locomotives Associated with the SLS page has been rewritten and a new page of additional information added regarding Orion. (ref to meetings pdf deleted 3 Oct 2005 as page replaced)
12 July. Monthly update includes new Journal contents, new photo of Orion on the Home / Index page and new Society header image for website. Link to corrupted image removed from Picture intro'. Also the Notes for Centre Secretary's has been replaced by a revised version and new links added.
12 Jun - Updates to meetings and visits, one off meetings and sadly the obituaries page
31 May - This page, Centres by venue, Perpetual Calendar , Obituaries and Photographic collection pages updated and list 33 added..
24 May - News of Orion updated and some minor housekeeping corrections to other pages. Images changed on home page.
12 to 15 May. Further updates to site. Testing has identified that some minor modifications are required to the left side site navigation column for viewers using 800 x 600 screen resolution. The modifications will be completed as soon as possible and apologies to visitors to the site experiencing any difficulties during the interim period.
Meetings section re-written including addition of a perpetual calendar for all events and meetings. Page design is the new style to be used across the site overall as time permits page upgrades Notes to Centre Secretary's about updates to site for meetings added. Several summer events in Midlands area added. Journal content for May/June edition now added.
28 April - First of several updates I hope to make in next few days as site is updated following the AGM weekend. The page content updated today includes a review of the AGM weekend with the photographs from the AGM Weekend also added to the Home Page. The completion of the restoration of Orion, the Society owned 1/6th scale, live steam, replica LNWR Webb Compound, is also marked in the AGM review and on the Locomotives Associated with the SLS page. To come in next update series will be revisions to the site layout, to the Application Form and additional material on various other pages including some new meeting dates and the contents list for the next Journal. 29 April - Format of some recently added images swapped to GIF to speed loading.
Advance notice - The Society's AGM in April 2005 agreed to the publication of a small booklet giving more details of the engine to celebrate its return to steam. That is now in preparation and expected to be published during mid to late 2005. Link to publications page.
20 April. Minor correction to AGM & Meetings page. I was previously given the web link for the Downs Railway as printed in the Journal. That is incorrect. Correct Link is http://www.dlrtrust.ik.com

12 February - Change of speaker - Bromley 6 April. See Meetings & Visits NB Apologies for the short term corruption of the Bromley & Cambridge entries on the meetings page that were "live" during the day of the 12th. The corruption that occurred during the morning up-load process was discovered during the day and corrected in mid-evening - John Web site coordinator. Remainder of page to also be checked in detail.
23 January 05. A belated New Year greeting to all readers. Minor updates on the meetings page (mainly deletion of the now historic date entries for old meetings). The Stephenson Photograph Collection pages enhanced with the addition of the current price list, a printable order form and the full text contents of List 1, List 2, List 3, List 4 and List 5. As all the extra pages on the Photograph Collections page are Adobe PDF files a get Adobe PDF button has also been added.
